Bio


Kirsten Caroline Dunst (born April 30, 1982) is an American actress, known for her roles in Interview with the
Vampire (for which she received a Golden Globe nomination), The Virgin Suicides, Marie Antoinette, and Bring It On,
as well as for her portrayal of Mary Jane Watson in the Spider-Man film series.

Dunst was born in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, to Inez and Klaus Dunst, who are divorced. Her father, a German medical
services executive from Hamburg, remained in New Jersey but now lives in Los Angeles,California. Her mother,
a Swedish former art gallery owner,also moved to California. Dunst has a younger brother, Christian.
Dunst attended the Ranney School in New Jersey, and graduated in 2000 from Notre Dame High School,
a private Catholic high school in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood of Los Angele After briefly dating her longtime friend, playwright Jeff Smeenge, she started dating actor Jake Gyllenhaal in September 2002, after meeting him through his sister, Maggie (her Mona Lisa Smile co-star). They broke up in July 2004 but then dated intermittently until December 2005.She was recently seen with British rocker Johnny Borrell at the South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas.Borrell, the frontman of Razorlight,commented on their relationship, saying, "I'm not hiding anything. We met in Los Angeles. We were hanging out at South by Southwest and we've been hanging out ever since."She is close friends with Spider-Man 3 co-stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Tobey Maguire, & James Franco.Dunst is known for her quirky fashion style and has been featured on Richard Blackwell's famous Best Dressed List.
As of April 9, 2007, Dunst admitted that she has tried marijuana and other drugs. In an interview, Dunst said,"I've never been a major smoker, but I think America's view on weed is ridiculous. I mean — are you kidding me?If everyone smoked weed, the world would be a better place. I'm not talking about being stoned all day, though.I think if it's not used properly, it can hamper your creativity and close you up inside."

Spider-Man is a 2002 American superhero film based on the fictional Marvel Comics character Spider-Man.The film is the first in the Spider-Man film series. The film was written by David Koepp, and directed by Sam Raimi. It stars Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and Willem Dafoe.The film begins with Peter Parker, a high school student, being bitten by a genetically altered spider.After misusing his newly given abilities, which indirectly caused the death of his Uncle Ben, he becomesthe heroic Spider-Man. Peter hopes to win the heart of Mary Jane Watson, the girl he has loved since he was a boy,and battles the villainous Green Goblin, who is the father of Peter's best friend, Harry Osborn.After being stuck in development hell for nearly 25 years, the film was released on May 3, 2002 to good reviews from critics, went on to break box office records, and became the highest grossing film of 2002. Spider-Man 2 Set two years after the original, Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) finds managing both his personal life and duties as the superhero Spider-Man increasingly difficult, and decides to give up. He must return to his duties though, when Dr. Otto Octavius (Alfred Molina) turns insane following a failed experiment and the death of his wife.Using his mechanical tentacles, Octavius is dubbed "Doctor Octopus" and threatens to endanger the lives of the people of New York City and Peter's loved ones.Spider-Man 3 - The film begins with Peter Parker basking in his success as Spider-Man, while Mary Jane Watson begins her Broadway career.Harry Osborn still seeks vengeance for his father's death, and an escaped convict, Flint Marko, falls into a particleaccelerator and is transformed into a shape-shifting sand manipulator. An alien symbiote crashes to Earth and bonds with Peter, influencing his behavior for the worse. When the symbiote is abandoned, it finds refuge in Eddie Brock Jr.,a rival photographer, causing Peter to face his greatest challenge.
